Walk, Talk, Do and Care

Supporting Wellbeing Through Nature, Creativity and Community

About the Sessions

Free Monthly Sunday group in partnership with Matipo and Parndon Mill Harlow

We run a free Monthly session in partnership with Matipo Arts called Walk, Talk, Do and Care.

This is on the 2nd Sunday of the Month from 2pm – 4pm and is suitable for adults and accompanied children over 14.

What to Expect

We have a different artist each Month and have the opportunity to walk and connect to nature by the River Stort, have time to ‘pause’ and refreshments followed by participating in different art or crafts each month. This session presents an opportunity to ‘be’ and participate in a new activity that is hands on. Many attendees have caring roles (often unpaid as familial carers). The sessions are free and funded at present.

Delivered in collaboration with Matipo Arts and Parndon Mill, Walk, Talk, Do, Care. offers a safe, friendly space to improve your mental and physical wellbeing through nature, creativity and community.

How It Works

Each session starts with some light physical activity in the beautiful natural surroundings of Parndon Mill led by a qualified walk leader from Roots to Wellbeing. We then head indoors for a creative workshop led by a different local artist each month, curated by Matipo Arts.

Walk, Talk, Do and Care. is an evolution of our previous, highly successful project ‘Walk, Talk & Do’ with an increased focus on supporting adult unpaid carers to build supportive social communities by providing breathing space in the form of personal wellbeing activities.

Stay Connected & Funding

You can find more details about each month’s session by following us on Instagram and Facebook, @matipoarts and @rootstowellbeing (Facebook) @Roots2wellbeing (Instagram).

Walk, Talk, Do, Care. is kindly funded by the Carer’s Community Fund so sessions are free to attend.

All materials and refreshments are provided. No experience necessary!
